ACS – Affordable Cleaning Services is a family-owned business where all our employees become family. We have been in the cleaning industry since 2001, operating as our own LLC since 2013. We believe in the power of relationships with employees and with clients. These relationships create loyalty. In an industry that the average time an employee stays with a company is three months, we have most of our employees that have been with us since 2018 or longer. This relationship increases productivity, quality, and morale. It allows us to create a relationship with clients as well, doing the cleaning so they are free to focus on their other duties and dreams.
ACS doesn’t just work in the community; we are part of it. We encourage our employees to find ways to serve others. As a group, we have participated in the University of Iowa annual Hawkeye Homecoming Parade winning Community Best Award every time we entered. We have developed a relationship with the Iowa City Shelter House by offering jobs to Shelter House clients during summer moveout season. We have also worked with Goodwill and Veterans Association, giving individuals an employment opportunity and a chance to prove themselves.
We are also a member of The Greater Iowa City, Inc., a network of business and public sector leaders. This organization was previously Iowa City Area Business Association and before that the Chamber. This organization helps grow a resilient local economy by supporting our businesses.
